Each week, we print something here in an effort to convince you to give your financial support to making BC continue into the future.  And each week, many new BC Paid Subscribers decide that $50 is more than a fair price in that endeavor.  Still others, most of whom are already BC Paid Subscribers, continue their support with either a one-time contribution or another recurring contribution.  We’re closing in on the goal of welcoming, during this first year of BC Paid Subscribers and BC Contributors, 20% of our readers as members of The BlackCommentator, and yet we still need YOUR help.

In recent weeks, we’ve taken a large step in our quest for social justice and peace, with the creation of the BC Editorial Board.  We’ve continued our mission of commentary, analysis and investigations on issues affecting African Americans by adding regular columns from Anthony Asadullah Samad (Between the Lines), Carl Bloice (Left Margin), and Lawrence R. Velvel (National Affairs).  We have published important commentary from our BC Editorial Board.  If you’re not a BC Paid Subscriber, take this opportunity to click this link into the BC archives Past Issues, and you’ll see the quality of thought and writing from the best progressive thinkers of our time:

BlackCommentator.com is one-of-a-kind in the online world.  We want to continue being your source for commentary you can use in your daily life, commentary that makes you think, commentary that opens your mind to new ideas and insights.  And we need your support to continue.

This current issue is free to you, as is each current issue, every week for about 46 weeks each year.  It’s free to you, but it’s not free for us to produce.  Please, will you help us survive?  We accept all major credit cards, checks and money orders.  Do it now.  Become a BC Paid Subscriber and BC Contributor.  Then, each time you open an issue, you’ll know that your hard-earned money helped to create something of importance, something of real value to the Black Community.
