What
do the rank n’ file, the leadership and figureheads of Trump’s
treasonous movement want? From Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, the Oath
Keepers, the Proud Boys, Confederate Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor
Greene and the QAnon quack-pots - these one-ring circus characters
“represent” hundreds, thousands, millions - actually
roughly 65 to 75 million Americans - who support “he
who must not be named”
and all the undeniably odious, despicable and anti-people beliefs the
man-child embodies.
They
are him, he is them.
My
question: “What do they want?” Because clearly they don’t
want what Dr. King wanted - a colorblind
society where folks are judged by the content of their character as
opposed to the color of their skin. If we’re not going to have
noble and high-minded 21st century Obama-era racial
inclusion
and diversity...
then what do they want instead? I think it’s a fair question
and a good place to start.
Do
they want to return to 1965-style Separate
and Unequal
everything? Maybe 1955 segregation? Or 1920 Jim
Crow?
Or do they want to return my people, Black folks, to 1860 slavery?
“Shackled,” Chained, life-long,
generational bondage -
hear me now, this well-documented dream
of
millions of his supporters certainty can’t be dismissed nor
ruled out with this lynch-mob crowd.
Time
Magazine
found that nearly 20% of Trump supporters did not approve of freeing
the slaves, according to a January 2016 YouGov/Economist
poll that
asked respondents if they supported or disapproved of “the
executive order that freed all slaves in the states that were in
rebellion against the federal government”
- Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation.
Do
they desire separate cities and/or states? “Secession”
seems to be a term doing a lot of heavy lifting today. Texas
Republicans, led by supreme Negro sell-out Allen West have proposed
just that. Perhaps that is the uncomfortable, inconvenient truth -
White
supremacy
will be achieved through White separation? I ask you: Are there any
characteristics like humanity/civility/empathy
and understanding
which can simply be ordered, legislated or mandated? Let’s be
honest - there are no man-made institutions or even peer-pressure
which can force
a person to “like,” or “respect,” let alone
“love” other people if they simply don’t
want to.
The 45th President’s followers obviously have no inherent
inclination, no desire and unquestionably no history of
willingly
mixing and mingling, of sharing power and wealth. Instead, it’s
been “generational White flight,” disinvestment, and
isolation as the answer to social justice and progress.
“This
land is my land, this land is your land....”
Sure.
Do
they want us to “go back to where we came from?” Is their
answer to ship us all “back to Africa?” And of course,
there are those... mere “millions” who want to warm up
Adolf’s ovens. Is that the ice cold Vulcan truth: the majority
of this new but yet very old 3rd or 4th “Reich” - they
want to turn on the gas chambers? Please, please... please don’t
tell me that’s not a possibility; surely, they are above such
barbarism.
Howbeit,
the question remains “what do Trump’s, excuse me, “he
who must not be named”
people want?”
They
don’t want to be a part of the Paris
Climate Agreement;
they don’t want to be a part of NATO
or
even the United
Nations.
They don’t want a livable
minimum wage,
clean
air
and water.
They don’t want to build more pre-schools,
just
for-profit
prisons.
They oppose affordable
health care
because even if it benefits them, it benefits us -
Americans of color,
and they’d rather harm themselves then see us, one and all,
benefit.
What
will it take for them to put down their machine guns and
flamethrowers? Can we come to the negotiation table?
One
more time, “What do they want?” What will make them
happy? What will avert the bloody civil war they seem to be
threatening, if not promising? I’d like a vivid, laid-out,
spelled-out and well-explained verbal picture of the “United
States of America” these people would like to call home.
Granted I think it will repulse me, but I think it will illustrate
exactly what we all know.
Do
they want to return to segregated swimming pools? Segregated
restaurants, malls, cemeteries, hospitals and schools? Will it again
be illegal
to look a White man in the eye, as it was in parts of this nation for
centuries? Yes centuries! Sure, of course this sounds trifling,
“small” and pathetic. Nonetheless, this was America from
1620 until... 1975 or so. Gee, one could make the argument last year,
last week, yesterday.
If
we, the “Left” - we, the clear majority, the
Progressively high-minded and Liberal Utopian
sunflower folks who adhere to the impractical concept of “forced
integration” and hollow, shallow “orchestrated”
unity - who believe in racial inclusion, cultural diversity and
economic equality, if we don’t consider giving the angry
millions and millions who support “he who must not be named”
what they want, the America they want - then where does this
“conflict,” this major difference-of-opinion go?
How
long before these divided states resemble the infamous Northern
Ireland conflict, “The Troubles” - about 30 years of
“irregular war,” “low-level war” - endless
bombings and assassinations?
How
long? Not long.
What
